The Macomb Feminist Network meets on the 2nd Saturday of each month, with a few exceptions from 10am-12pm at the Macomb City Hall Community Room.

Here is the tentative schedule for 2009-2010.

October 10 panel on family planning options with representatives from Beu Health Center, Eagleview, McDonough County Health Department.  Panel moderator Elaine Hopkins.

November 14 and December 12:  Rep. Myers and Sen. Sullivan are invited to discuss legislatives concerns.  Each will be asked for a separate day to allow sufficient time for discussion and questions.  If they are not able to attend, we will ask Elaine (our member) to give a presentation on how to investigate issues effectively through the Freedom of Information Act.  Elaine has vast experience as an investigative reporter and is flexible about a date to conduct the program.

January 23 is the annual brunch/meeting at Becky’s home to invite potential members and start out the new year.

February 13 Becky Cox, WIRC’s domestic violence legal advocate, is invited to tell us about setting up a court-monitoring project.  

March 6 will be a celebration of local women who have made history. 

April 10 tentatively would be workshop on tolerance.

May 8 agenda/program to be determined, based on outcome of previous meetings.
